Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Laborer to join our team at Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure our grounds and landscapes are well-maintained.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Aid in loading and unloading trucks and trailers, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Operate a range of equipment, including lawn tractors, mowers, line trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers, to maintain turf areas and perform other lawn care duties.
  • Install soil, mulch, and plant material to construct landscape gardens and related areas.
  • Apply pest control measures to prevent insect and weed infestations.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition.
  • Assist foreperson with additional tasks, including construction projects, shop and yard maintenance, vehicle and equipment upkeep.
  • Comply with all company policies, local health and safety regulations, and communicate effectively with customers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year's experience in the landscape/construction industry.
  • Capability to operate required equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective verbal instructions, reading labels, completing simple reports, and reporting progress.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, tools, and equipment necessary for various landscape practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adhering to company standards.
  • Physical stamina to perform strenuous tasks, walk, stand, and crouch for extended periods.

Work Conditions:

  • Working with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials.
  • Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a work shift.
  • Adapting to fast-paced environments, requiring manual dexterity and stamina.
  • Working near heavy equipment and vehicles, exposed to varying weather conditions.

Estimated Salary:$45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
