Job Summary:

The Assistant Outlets Manager is a key leadership role within the Food and Beverage team at Fairmont Vancouver Airport, a luxury hospitality group. As a passionate and service-focused individual, you will lead and support the F&B team to create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, mentor, and train the Food & Beverage teams to ensure exceptional service standards.
  • Provide operational leadership and direction for the day-to-day operations of the Outlets, focusing on service, logistics, and quality.
  • Create and maintain an engaged work environment that fosters a welcoming and personalized experience for our guests.
  • Conduct daily line-ups with the team to review hotel information, service stations, specials, and other essential details.
  • Ensure brand standards are upheld with the highest standards of quality and visual appeal.
  • Handle guest concerns and respond promptly, logging and notifying the relevant areas.
  • Assist with scheduling team members to align with labor management standards.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and strive for guest feedback.
  • Work with the team to develop new offerings and actively share ideas, opinions, and suggestions to improve the environment and dining experience.
  • Balance operational, administrative, and colleague needs by focusing on guest feedback surveys, colleague feedback surveys, and financial results.
  • Assist in overall F&B management responsibilities as needed.
  • Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Follow all health and safety policies.

Requirements:

  • A service-focused personality is essential, with a passion for everything food and beverage.
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role is required.
  • Proactive, with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to lead by example.
  • As a condition of employment, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and able to provide appropriate proof prior to start date.
  • Previous point-of-sale system experience is required, preferably Silverware.
