The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Dean, School of Life Science and Business. As a key member of our College Leadership Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing programs and staff in fields related to the School of Life Science & Business.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Administration
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the School of Life Science and Business, ensuring alignment with the College's strategic plan.
- Manage and oversee the budget and budget processes for the School.
- Recruit, manage, and supervise employees to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services.
- People Leadership
- Provide direction, supervision, and performance management to faculty and staff.
- Ensure the School operates with consistent Human Resource and Academic practices.
- Participate in the advancement of a diverse and inclusive campus culture.
- Teaching and Learning
- Promote teaching and learning strategies that enhance student success and academic excellence.
- Identify and lead opportunities for new and academic programming that align with the College's strategic plan.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree (or equivalent) and relevant experience in a post-secondary or educational environment. They will have demonstrated administrative and leadership experience, with a proven track record of achieving strategic goals and growing the College's reputation. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
