The Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at the Toronto Blue Jays. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our guests while ensuring that every drink is crafted with precision and care.

Responsibilities:

  • Take orders from guests and servers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Mix and serve beverages to guests, adhering to company standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring a positive guest experience
  • Provide information on wine characteristics and make recommendations to guests
  • Set up, maintain, and break down the assigned bar area
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a fun and welcoming experience for all guests
  • Utilize high-quality spirits, liqueurs, and ingredients to create unique and delicious drinks
  • Verify the age of guests purchasing alcohol and ensure responsible serving practices
  • Restock supplies and maintain a fully equipped bar area
  • Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and specials
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service
  • Work collaboratively with fellow associates and other service departments to ensure seamless service
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • 2+ years of experience as a high-volume bartender
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, and guest relations
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently

Working Conditions:

Location: On-site at the Toronto Blue Jays stadium

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service is essential.
