Food Service Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring efficient food preparation and delivery.
Job Responsibilities- Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and handle cash transactions in a friendly and professional manner.
- Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items such as salads, sandwiches, and soups. Portion and wrap foods according to menu specifications.
- Supply Management: Replenish condiments, supplies, and other materials as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen and serving areas.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
- Permanent full-time position
- 30-40 hours per week
- English language required
- Possible overtime opportunities
The estimated annual salary for this role is $35,000 - $45,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
