Job Title: Laundry Attendant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically fit Laundry Attendant to join our team at Best Western Plus Calgary Centre Inn. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for operating dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines to ensure our guests' linens and uniforms are clean and pressed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines to clean and press linens and uniforms.
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals to ensure optimal cleaning results.
  • Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles to ensure they are properly cleaned and pressed.
  • Assemble and bag finished articles to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Record any damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles.
  • Use a hand-held steam iron to touch up finished garments and other articles.
Requirements:
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
