Job Title: Laundry Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team at Best Western Plus Calgary Centre Inn. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for operating dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines, as well as hand-folding and bagging shirts, sheets, and other articles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines
  • Hand-fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals
  • Assemble and bag finished articles
  • Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met
  • Record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles
  • Use hand-held steam iron to touch up finished garments and other articles
Work Environment:

The Laundry Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate will be physically demanding and able to stand for extended periods.

Weight Handling:

The Laundry Attendant will be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) of laundry.

Experience:
