Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Support Attendant to join our team at the Vancouver Detox Centre. As a Clinical Support Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing support to clients with acute, chronic, and palliative care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a supportive presence that promotes trauma-informed interventions and practices.
  • Provide assistance to clients and their caregivers by liaising with clinicians and community services.
  • Act as a member of the on-shift response team for fire, safety, and security functions.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma in Community Social Service and one year's recent experience in a related field.
  • Basic Security Training level 1 and 2 Certificate.
Knowledge and Abilities

You will possess:

  • Knowledge and experience in Trauma-Informed Practice, Harm Reduction, and Recovery-Oriented Care.
  • Knowledge of Appreciative Inquiry.
  • Broad knowledge of mental health and substance use issues and treatment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous Cultural Safety.
