Electrical Project Manager Job Description

Smith + Andersen is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for managing electrical projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage electrical project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Manage and supervise electrical engineering teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, calculations, and drawings.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management.
  • Registered Engineer in the province of Nova Scotia or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with project management software, including MS Project, Asana, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including CSA, ULC, and IEEE.
  • LEED certification or experience with sustainable design is an asset.
