Job Title: Welding / Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor

BWXT Canada Ltd. is a leading provider of nuclear power generation equipment and medical isotopes. We are seeking a highly skilled Welding / Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario.

Job Summary:

The Welding / Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor will lead a team of Welding Engineers and Technical Specialists. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining shop documentation, assessing and resolving non-conforming conditions, and supporting shop operations. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare welding procedure qualification records (PQRs) and weld procedure specifications (WPS)
  • Resolve non-conforming conditions identified by quality control
  • Develop and support shop procedures for existing and new welding applications
  • Maintain realistic time standards for shop performance
  • Maintain data base of welding equipment, consumables, and approvals
  • Conduct pre-manufacturing product reviews and identify tooling and fixtures needed to support the work
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in a fast-paced heavy manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the nuclear industry and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
What We Offer:

BWXT Canada Ltd. offers a competitive salary range of $107,000 to $156,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
