We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at NL Health Services. As a valued member of our Resident Care Team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in our long-term care facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily living activities, providing personal care and promoting independent living.
- Provide quality nursing care to residents, meeting their physical, social, and spiritual needs.
- Work collaboratively with the interprofessional team to develop and implement care plans.
- Supervise and support Personal Care Attendants, monitoring resident outcomes and intervening as needed.
- Reassess and adjust care plans or resident assignments as required.
- Successful completion of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL).
- Current BLS certification.
- Gerontology experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of seniors' issues and support best practice in gerontological care.
- Ability to deal effectively with end-of-life issues.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently.
