About the Role

The Operations Team Leader/Production Site Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to operations personnel, ensuring timely completion of schedules while maintaining a safe and cost-effective working environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising unionized hourly staff across rotating shifts, promoting a safe work environment, and participating in daily meetings.

  • Assist in planning daily and weekly production schedules and staffing requirements
  • Troubleshoot production issues to minimize impact
  • Provide initial and ongoing training to employees in areas of safety, equipment, and handling, SOPs, GMP requirements, and company policies and practices
  • Inspect machinery for cleanliness, safety requirements, and proper setup prior to production
  • Monitor and maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards

This role requires excellent leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively with peers from other departments, and a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Develop and implement effective operational strategies to drive productivity and efficiency
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of operations personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and improve processes
  • Identify and address operational inefficiencies and develop solutions to improve overall performance
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of operational data, including production schedules, inventory levels, and employee training records
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in supervisory or leadership position
  • Demonstrated experience with MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong knowledge of employee safety requirements in a production environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
