About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor Regulatory Governance to join our Integrated Risk Management (IRM) team at National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance of risk management frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise IRM units on governance of risk management frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage regulators' requests, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen the effectiveness of controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Represent the Bank to regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders, and other external bodies.
  • Produce executive reporting to senior management on key risk management and regulatory matters.
About the Team

You will be part of our Strategy and Risk team, composed of 12 colleagues, and report to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Governance and Living Wills. Our team's mission is to be a center of regulation expertise, supporting the IRM sector in the governance of risk management frameworks and maintaining the Bank's financial crisis management program - Living Wills.

Requirements
  • Industry-related bachelor's degree and 6-8 years of relevant experience or industry-related master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in risk management or regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to ensure effective coordination and partnership in multi-stakeholder mandates.
  • Demonstrated strong skills in influence, communication, and writing.
  • Good knowledge of regulations applicable to banks (OSFI).
