The Role

We are seeking an experienced RN Care Specialist to join our Dedicated Care Team. This role includes on-site Clinic Nurse responsibilities at our 150 York Street location and remote work as a Nurse Consultant.

You will be the main point of contact for patients, providing guidance, education, and support. You will work closely with a small multi-disciplinary team to provide timely communication of results and follow-up care to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Immunization and vaccination education and administration
  • Health assessment and teaching on cardiac risk factors, immunizations, and other nursing responsibilities
  • Primary Care Nursing procedures such as ear syringing, dressing changes, suture/staple removal, and assisting physicians with basic nursing skills
  • Administration of maintenance medications such as Vitamin B12, testosterone, and allergy serums
  • Monitoring and facilitating the flow of patients through the Clinic
  • Travel Clinic client education and vaccination
  • Administrative duties including inventory and supplies ordering, maintaining cold chain for vaccine supply according to Vaccine Storage and Handling Guidelines
  • Providing clients with education and guidance regarding healthy lifestyle, navigation of the healthcare system, and support and counseling regarding new diagnoses
  • Coordinate follow-up care for clients including scheduling appointments and providing follow-up care such as results and prescription renewals
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 1-5 years of nursing experience
  • Nursing experience in a primary care environment is essential
  • Experience with phlebotomy
  • Good understanding of publicly funded vaccine schedule and travel vaccines is an asset
  • Current CPR/BCLS certification
  • Superior verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Experience in travel health, occupational health, and pediatric nursing is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Great organization and time management skills
Salary and Benefits

This permanent role offers a competitive salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, RRSP matching, and a genuine opportunity to grow with our company.
