Sushi Restaurant Supervisor Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sushi Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Kona Sushi. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have experience in food service management, with a strong background in supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to work closely with our chefs, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including preparing and portioning food, training staff on job duties and procedures, and ensuring that food meets quality control standards.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
- Train new staff members on our menu, preparation techniques, and customer service standards.
- Manage inventory levels, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Work collaboratively with our kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain accurate records of employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a sushi restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
- Familiarity with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and employment standards.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
