Family Law Paralegal Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team at Arlyn Recruiting. As a Family Law Paralegal, you will collaborate with clients and opposing counsel for the collection, review, and production of documents.

  • You will draft routine correspondence, review documents, and code them for relevance and privilege.
  • Prepare pleadings, including Form F8 Financial Statements, Affidavits, Notices of Application, and review and prepare transcript summaries.
  • Assist lawyers with all aspects of trial preparations.

Requirements

  • 5 years of litigation experience with a specialty in family law.
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary LAA and/or paralegal program or the real-world equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of BC Supreme Court Rules, court practices, and procedures, and filing deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Family Law Act.
  • The ability to work overtime if required.
  • Experience in Adobe, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with DivorceMate.
