Job Title: Family Law Paralegal/LAA

Arlyn Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Paralegal/LAA to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our family law attorneys in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and managing case files.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist family law attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as petitions, motions, and agreements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and summarize findings to support ongoing cases.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all client interactions and case developments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries related to their legal matters.
  • Prepare and file documents with the court in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and ensure proper documentation is available for court proceedings.
  • Support attorneys in case strategy development and participate in client meetings and consultations.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in family law and regulations that may affect ongoing cases.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in paralegal studies or a related field.
  • Certification as a paralegal or legal assistant (LAA) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of family law principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to client confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant in a family law setting.
  • Experience with case management software and legal documentation systems.
  • Prior experience interfacing with clients and managing client expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines under pressure.
