About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Truerock interior systems ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a professional finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet client specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a sturdy installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a seamless finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a strong bond.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying work sites, including residential locations. You will be required to work outdoors and in noisy conditions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall installation or a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
