About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Truerock interior systems ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of Drywall Sheets
    • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
    • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Finishing and Smoothing
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
    • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
    • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Taping and Embedding
    • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Other Tasks
    • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
    • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
    Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial construction sites. You will be exposed to a noisy and outdoors work environment, and will be required to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Requirements

    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 44 hours per week. The language of work is English.
