We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at Truerock interior systems ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Finishing: Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces. Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Taping and Embedding: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a strong bond.
- Compound Application: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
- Sheet Installation: Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
As a Drywall Installer, you will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial construction sites. You will be exposed to noisy environments and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation or a related field.
- Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal Qualities: Reliability, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
