Technical Services Director

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Director to lead our team and drive operational excellence in mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- To effectively promote, deploy, and comply with all Safety & Health and Environmental policies, standards, procedures, and regulations within the Mine Technical Services Department.
- Management of the technical services team to deliver operational requirements and personnel development, including performance management, career development, and succession planning.
- Fostering collaborative relationships throughout the organization, including but not limited to geology, metallurgy, maintenance, projects, and finance functions.
- Establish and maintain integrated mine planning, execution, reporting, and reconciliation systems to support delivery of quality plans through execution.
- Lead the development of Life of Mine (LOM), annual, and long-range plans and evaluation of projects.
- Drive the forecast and budget cycle, including ownership of mining cost models and improvement initiatives.
- Initiate, manage, and oversee technical and operational projects.
- Lead the evaluation of innovative or technology application-based changes.
- Assess alternate mining areas, methods, or practices.
- Development and review of competencies, Scopes of Work, and Schedules of Rates for Contractors, ensuring costs are managed and controlled while complying with Contractor Controls Policies and Procedures.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement supported by effective measurement systems.
- Ensure that all mining operations activities are scheduled effectively utilizing business processes and supporting systems.
About You:
We are looking for a seasoned professional with 15 years of technical mining-related experience, primarily Underground (UG). You should have a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical staff. Additionally, you should have demonstrated knowledge of Engineering standards, with a technical expertise. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are essential, as well as excellent time management and project management skills.
