Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at Algoma Family Services. As a Counsellor, you will work with children, youth, and families to provide assessment, treatment, and support services. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide a range of services, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and treatment services to children, youth, and families
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other service providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed
  • Document client information and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Current registration with a regulated professional college
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in children's mental health or related field
  • Strong knowledge of child and family development, mental health resources, and community services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
