Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our culinary team at Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the executive chef in planning and executing menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest level of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Assist the executive chef in planning and executing menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and customer preferences.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, to ensure efficient and effective service.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff, to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of food quality and safety.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including food, supplies, and equipment, to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and that waste is minimized.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate required.
