The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of people and assets by conducting thorough fire prevention inspections, maintaining emergency response equipment, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and Maintain Emergency Response Equipment: Ensure that all emergency response devices are functioning properly and maintained according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct Daily Checks: Perform daily checks on carbon dioxide and sprinkler rinse systems to ensure they are operating within safe parameters.
- Complete Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits to identify potential fire hazards and report concerns to management.
- Respond to Emergencies: Respond quickly and effectively to fire and medical emergencies, providing first aid and patient care as needed.
- Maintain Operational Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest fire safety standards and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Certifications: NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter Level I & II, IMS 100, First Responder or Above from Canadian Red Cross, Mental Health First Aid Certification (or completion within 3 months of hire).
- Licenses: Valid Class G Driver's License and Driver's Abstract.
- Education: Completion of Grade 12 or GED equivalent.
