The Role: Landscape Garden Crew Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Garden Crew Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a crew of 4-5 people and coordinating day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the nursery/landscaping industry
  • Minimum 1 year of experience leading a crew of 4-5 people
  • Coordinate and monitor day-to-day operations, including short-term planning and reporting to operations managers
  • Direct activities of Landscape Maintenance Labourers as per work orders
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment for the crew
  • Assist in the orientation and training of staff
  • Able to operate basic landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, sod cutters, pruning saws, etc.
  • Able to perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning daily
  • Set priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions, and scheduled work
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb, bend, dig, etc.
  • Ability to drive a truck and trailer
  • A willingness to learn, demonstrated initiative, and ability to make decisions based on sound judgment
