Bridge Design Leader for Nova Scotia Infrastructure

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus benefits. As a Senior Bridge Engineer at COWI, you will be responsible for leading bridge design projects from initial concept to implementation. You will work closely with a team of experts on significant infrastructure projects in North America, including the Mac Kay Bridge, Macdonald Bridge, Seal Island Bridge, and many more.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in civil or structural engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of related industry experience in bridge design and project management. They must also be a registered Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia or able to obtain registration within 12 months of employment.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising and coordinating teams of engineers and technicians
- Performing structural analysis, design, and evaluation
- Preparing technical specifications, engineering reports, and other documents
- Liaising with clients, partners, and third parties as needed
You will also be required to have strong technical expertise in 3D structural modeling with analysis software, demonstrated experience developing tasks in bridge design and construction, and working knowledge of modern bridge design codes.
