We are looking for a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as a kitchen staff member at Kimberley Alpine Resort. As a member of our culinary team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, preparing high-quality food for our guests.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and team player, with previous kitchen experience an asset but not necessary. At Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, we focus on building long-lasting relationships with our staff and guests, and we encourage applicants to come and experience the ultimate hospitality experience.

As a kitchen staff member, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing food items according to resort F&B specifications
  • FOLLOWING KITCHEN'S SYSTEMS & PRINCIPLES
  • PROMOTING A SAFE, SANITIZED WORK ENVIRONMENT, ENSURING THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF CLEANLINESS, SAFETY AND FOOD STORAGE MANAGEMENT
  • ENSURING THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF SERVICE AND GUEST EXPERIENCE
  • PROVIDING NON-STOP TEAMWORK WITH YOUR TEAMMATES AND MANAGERS
  • KNOWING AND ADHERING TO THE POLICIES, RULES AND PROTOCOLS OUTLINED IN THE RESORTS OF THE CANADIAN ROCKIES EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK
  • KNOWING AND FOLLOWING ALL SAFE WORK PROCEDURES INCLUDED IN THE SAFETY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
  • KNOWING AND COMPLYING WITH ALL EXPECTATIONS OF THE INJURY MANAGEMENT/RETURN-TO-WORK PROGRAMS
  • PERFORMING OTHER TASKS AND DUTIES THAT ARE APPLICABLE

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous cook and food preparation experience (an asset)
  • Cook training certification or equivalent (an asset)
  • Food safe certification (an asset), may be obtained upon hire
  • A willingness to learn new skills and have a positive attitude

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer benefits such as meal discounts, uniform allowances, and opportunities for career advancement.
