Job Title: General Labourer

We are seeking a skilled General Labourer to join our team at Top Tomato Foods. As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to crop care and harvesting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth
  • Write daily basic progress reports to track crop development
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient harvesting
  • Examine product for quality and readiness for market
Requirements:
  • Experience in crop care and harvesting an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
  • Flexibility to work in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Working Conditions:
  • Work under pressure to meet production deadlines
  • Handling heavy loads and working in various weather conditions
  • Standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Schedule:

40 to 60 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
