Job Title: General Labourer

We are seeking a skilled General Labourer to join our team at Top Tomato Foods. As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to crop care and harvesting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from growing.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots to ensure quality control.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to promote healthy growth and maximize yields.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to track crop development and identify areas for improvement.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work Environment:

As a General Labourer, you will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be exposed to dust, odours, and other environmental factors. You will also be required to work with heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.

Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
Language:

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.

Work Term:

Seasonal.

Hours:

40 to 60 hours per week.
