Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wealth Planning Consultant to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our Wealth Sales & Service team, you will be responsible for providing expert wealth planning advice and guidance to our High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wealth Planning and Strategy
    • Develop and implement comprehensive wealth plans for clients, taking into account their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.
    • Provide expert advice on investment strategies, tax planning, estate planning, and succession planning.
    • Collaborate with Investment Advisors to develop and deliver a client-focused wealth planning experience.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
    • Communicate complex financial concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.
    • Identify opportunities to increase client assets and revenue growth.
  • Business Development
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue growth and market share.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business opportunities and develop solutions.
    • Provide coaching and training to Investment Advisors to support their delivery of wealth management solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge and Expertise
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in wealth planning.
    • Develop and maintain expertise in advanced financial planning concepts, including tax, estate, and succession planning.
    • Provide thought leadership and expertise to internal stakeholders on wealth planning and strategy.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in wealth planning or a related field.
    • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of financial planning software and tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • CFP designation (IQPF in Quebec) or equivalent.
What We Offer
