Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wealth Planning Consultant to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for providing expert wealth planning advice to high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate goals-based discovery processes with clients to understand their financial objectives and develop tailored wealth plans.
  • Develop and implement complex financial plans to help clients achieve their financial goals, including tax, estate, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with Investment Advisors to deliver wealth management solutions and provide coaching and training to support their delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and provide expert advice to clients.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives and support business growth.
  • Provide proactive, integrated, and customized advice to help clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Protect the Bank's assets by adhering to all banking, investment, and lending regulations, Bank policies and procedures, legal and ethical requirements, and established risk guidelines.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in wealth planning or a related field.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience in selling to Investment Advisors or high net worth clients.
  • Experience in financial planning is an asset.
  • MBA or other advanced degree is considered an asset.
  • Life Insurance designation is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning software is an asset.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
