Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at GLOBAL RIGGING & Transport Canada Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, as well as pre-qualification submissions to present to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects.
  • Pre-qualification Submissions: Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting the company's capabilities and qualifications.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and prepare estimates accordingly.
  • Cost Monitoring: Set up and monitor cost monitoring and reporting systems to ensure project expenditures are within budget.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
