Job Title: Construction Estimator

G & B Advantage Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Construction Estimator to prepare accurate estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability
  • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Collaborate with project managers and estimators to ensure accurate and timely estimates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. construction management, engineering, architecture)
  • 2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
