We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Whistler Tacos La Cantina. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our menu offerings are of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement new menu items and specials to drive sales and customer satisfaction
- Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Staff Management
- Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively
- Provide guidance and support to staff to help them develop their skills and knowledge
- Inventory Management
- Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand
- Monitor and control food costs to ensure that we are operating within budget
- Quality Control
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards
- Identify and address any quality control issues promptly
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role
- Skills and Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in a senior culinary role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
