The Pulpit Club is seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to join their team. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate special events and determine the size of food portions and costs.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, order supplies and equipment, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Manage kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Safe Food Handling certificate, and a criminal record check.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
