**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, cook, and present Italian dishes with a focus on quality, taste, and authenticity
- Develop and update the menu in collaboration with the head chef, focusing on traditional and innovative Italian dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Ensure all food preparation meets Gusto’s standards for portioning, presentation, and timing
- Source, select, and use high-quality ingredients to ensure the authentic taste of Italian cuisine
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage food waste to optimize costs
- Provide input on seasonal menus, new recipes, and daily specials
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring they uphold Gusto’s standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an Italian cook or in a similar role in an Italian restaurant
- Strong knowledge of Italian culinary techniques, ingredients, and recipes
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment and handle multiple orders
- Understanding of kitchen health and safety regulations
- A creative approach to food presentation and flavor pairing
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
