Job Summary

Starlight Investments is seeking a seasoned Compliance Program Manager to join our team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing compliance programs, with a strong focus on Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and regulatory requirements.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to Starlight's commitment to investing with impact and driving social and economic growth through real estate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing compliance activities across the organization, ensuring we meet company and global best-in-class industry standards for ethical conduct.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor global compliance policies and procedures, including applicable governance requirements.
  • Oversee the organization's compliance framework, including anti-bribery programs, and implement policies and procedures to comply with legal requirements.
  • Deliver periodic and regular reports on compliance-related enforcement and implementation, including policy development.
  • Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of global regulatory, legal, and business requirements, including a strong understanding of common risks and structures applicable to the compliance function.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and other industry members on ongoing regulatory matters to better understand and influence appropriate regulatory change.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in a related field of study.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing a broad compliance program, with a strong focus on ESG and regulatory requirements.
  • Deep knowledge of North American regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • The ability to adapt to a continuously growing, creative enterprise committed to delivering superior returns without compromising the company's fiduciary duty to its institutional partners.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and wellness, Group RSP, and other incentives.
