Compliance Program Manager for Secure Financial Infrastructure

About the Role

Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform, seeks an experienced Compliance Program Manager to lead Technology and Compliance assessments, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will design processes and controls to meet multiple compliance frameworks, working closely with engineering teams to understand technical regulations and develop effective mitigation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and lead external audits, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to ensure services and users remain compliant with applicable security standards.
  • Streamline and effectively manage multiple audits across the organization, partnering with control owners to automate evidence collection and implement control monitoring.
  • Partner with teams to design and integrate new products and services into current compliance audits, performing scoping, control implementation, and testing.
  • Maintain and enhance compliance to product security requirements, staying up-to-date on upcoming security regulatory changes that may impact Stripe or its users.
  • Be a force multiplier for customers, helping to minimize the burden of compliance and facilitate business growth.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in the security regulatory/compliance field, with 2+ years specifically leading Technology and Compliance assessments (SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI, Regulatory audits).
  • Experience managing multiple Technology and Compliance assessments.
  • Expertise in security practices of the payment industry and other security regulations (AICPA trust principles, NIST, ISO).
  • Technical security-specific background and understanding of the digital economy.
  • Solid understanding of security risks and threats, and in developing effective mitigation programs.
  • Growth mindset to help scale security compliance initiatives for the future of Stripe.
  • Great communication and prioritization skills, with experience building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role is approximately C$111,500 - C$209,500, depending on location and experience. Benefits include equity, company bonus, sales commissions/bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
