Senior Compliance Surveillance Manager

The Senior Compliance Surveillance Manager is responsible for leading a team of compliance professionals in overseeing, reviewing, and enhancing the surveillance program for market abuse and electronic communications. This role reports to the Managing Director and Global Head of Surveillance for TD Securities and the Chief Compliance Officer for TD Securities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of compliance professionals in reviewing and enhancing the surveillance program for market abuse and electronic communications.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance the program consistent with regulatory expectations.
- Assist with responses to regulatory inquiries or investigations regarding market abuse, disorderly trading, and insider trading.
- Execute mandate in accordance with TD Global Compliance Department Mandate and the Regulatory Compliance Management Program.
Requirements:
- University degree required; Post Graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years brokerage compliance experience, first line or risk and controls experience in Markets at a top-tier bank, operating surveillance (trade and communications monitoring and oversight).
- Experience working at a Canadian Regulator such as CIRO in market surveillance is highly desirable.
