We are seeking a highly skilled Road Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ferrovial. As a key member of our infrastructure management team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our road network, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our transportation systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on roads, bridges, and other infrastructure assets.
- Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, message boards, and temporary signage.
- Repair and maintain bridge structures, including railings, expansion joints, and painting.
- Operate heavy equipment, such as large trucks and specialized motor vehicles, to transport crew and equipment to work sites.
- Perform litter and debris removal, and maintain the appearance of highways and medians.
- Repair and maintain slopes, berms, culverts, drains, and other infrastructure features.
- Control vegetation growth and appearance through lawn mowing, trimming, and chemical spraying.
- Repair and maintain signs, guardrails, fences, and lighting.
- Transport crew and equipment to work sites, and participate in emergency response rotations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of work experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
- Class DZ/AZ driver's license and OTM Book 7 highly desirable.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be more than moderate at times.
The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Ability to pass fit test for respirator as required. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
