As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and building strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process requisitions and purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Initiate and follow up with RFQs and POs with suppliers to ensure quality products at the best price
  • Expedite overdue orders and rush requests to meet production requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best possible terms
  • Review and manage MRP replenishment to ensure inventory levels are adequate
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, shipping, and customer service, to ensure goods are available to meet production requirements
  • Negotiate with suppliers to purchase quality products at the best price possible
  • Handle NCRs with suppliers in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain up-to-date information on production schedules for cross-functional teams to reference
  • Attend regular team meetings and participate in meetings with suppliers as needed

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing background
  • Knowledge of medical air and vacuum systems is an asset
  • Able to read simple manufacturing or technical drawings is an asset
  • Highly organized, creative, and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Spire experience is an asset
  • Computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Negotiation skills
  • Working in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multitask
  • Mandarin speaking is an asset
  • Formal college or university education
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
