Project Coordinator Expert for Infrastructure Development

As a Senior Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing technical and administrative project specifications;
  • Maintaining daily site inspections to ensure adherence to specified standards;
  • Communicating project progress to the Project Manager and discussing planned methods with site management;
  • Collaborating with the Superintendent to procure critical materials from suppliers;
  • Tracking quantities and costs for productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting;
  • Managing the cost control cycle throughout the project, including budget tracking and scheduling;
  • Ensuring timely updates on hours, expenses, costs, and budgets;
  • Monitoring changes and coordinating with the project team;
  • Resolving issues related to project budgets and schedules;
  • Compiling and formatting information according to client requirements;
  • Ensuring the quality of prepared project reports, executive summaries, and dashboards;
  • Maintaining document control, including documentation formatting and record-keeping using cloud-based filing systems;
  • Assisting in preparing final records, including as-builts;
  • Organizing and participating in various meetings;
  • Establishing and maintaining communication between suppliers, subcontractors, professionals, and clients;
  • Assisting with field duties at the job site related to the project.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience;
  • Experience in the contracting industry, preferably in heavy civil construction;
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings;
  • Experience with scheduling and planning site activities;
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, etc.;
  • Experience with cost analysis, control, and reporting;
  • Knowledge of commercial contracts is an asset;
  • Bilingualism is an asset, but proficiency in English with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required.
