Senior Project Coordinator Position at EBC Inc.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join our team at EBC Inc., a leading construction company in Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

As a Senior Project Coordinator, you will work closely with our project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute projects. Your duties will include:

  • Reviewing technical specifications and inspecting work sites to ensure compliance with project requirements;
  • Communicating project developments to project managers and discussing methods with site management;
  • Procuring critical materials and supplies in collaboration with superintendents;
  • Tracking quantities, costs, and schedules to maintain accurate productivity analysis and job cost forecasting;
  • Performing cost control cycle activities throughout project execution, including tracking budgets and schedules;
  • Ensuring hours, expenses, costs, and budget updates are tracked and monitored;
  • Maintaining issue tracking and resolution related to project budgets and schedules;
  • Preparing and submitting reports, executive summaries, and dashboards to clients in their required format;
  • Assisting in preparing final project records, including as-builts;
  • Organizing and participating in meetings, establishing communication between suppliers, subcontractors, professionals, and clients;
  • Carrying out various field duties at job sites related to projects.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, 4 weeks of annual vacation, flexible group insurance, group RRSP with employer contribution, and access to training and development programs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a similar field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience;
  • Experience in contracting industry (heavy civil preferred);
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings;
  • Experience with scheduling and planning site activities;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and other relevant software;
  • Experience with cost analysis, control, and reporting;
  • Bilingualism is an asset, but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required;
  • An analytical mind, leadership and autonomy, negotiation, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, act quickly and efficiently, discretion and professionalism, excellent communication skills, time management skills, attention to detail, results-driven, quality-oriented, responsible, and honest.
