Position Overview

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Healing Hearts Care In Home Services Inc., you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring patient comfort and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a nursing home or assisted living facility, where you will interact closely with residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in participating in outdoor recreational activities.
  • Support the cleaning, sterilization, and setup of medical equipment.
  • Perform various duties to ensure patient care and comfort.
  • Provide personal care assistance as needed.
  • Manage bedpan supply and disposal.
  • Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Deliver meal trays and assist with feeding patients.
  • Help with the lifting, turning, and positioning of patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms.
  • Oversee and encourage patients' exercise routines.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming of patients.
  • Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
Safety and Security

References will be required to ensure a safe environment for our clients.

This role is physically demanding and requires stamina and strength.
