About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker at Healing Hearts Care In Home Services Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, engaging them in activities and conversations.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring patients' nutritional needs are met.
  • Help patients with mobility and transfer, using proper lifting and transfer techniques.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in healthcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and compassion.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Availability to work a 30-hour per week schedule, with flexibility to accommodate patient needs.
