Position Overview

As a Personal Care Assistant at Healing Hearts Care In Home Services Inc., you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals in our care.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

This position is primarily set in a nursing home or home for the aged, providing a supportive atmosphere for both staff and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in participating in outdoor recreational activities.
  • Help with the cleaning, sterilization, setup, and assembly of medical apparatus.
  • Perform various duties related to patient care and comfort.
  • Support personal care tasks as needed.
  • Manage bedpans and ensure cleanliness.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Serve meals and assist clients with feeding.
  • Assist in lifting, turning, and positioning clients safely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in clients' living spaces.
  • Oversee clients' exercise routines to promote health.
  • Provide bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
  • Transport clients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
