Job Title: Accident Reconstruction Engineer

At J.S. Held LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Accident Reconstruction Engineer to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our Accident Reconstruction practice, you will be responsible for conducting unbiased field investigations and testing of incidents and/or loss events, preserving and documenting physical evidence, and providing technical findings, analysis, and conclusions in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned engineering projects efficiently while maintaining communication with clients and project teams on status and scope.
  • Conduct site examinations, preserve and document physical evidence, and perform testing as required.
  • Assess the mechanical state or condition of vehicles and diagnose mechanical failures.
  • Analyze data, conduct complex calculations, and provide technical findings and conclusions.
  • Collaborate with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with a Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in accident reconstruction, with a strong understanding of vehicle mechanical systems.
  • Active Professional Engineering designation and excellent hands-on abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in technical reports preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
