About the Role:
We are working with a Canadian Insurance company that is looking to add to their Accident Benefits team. This role is fully remote, with the occasional trip to the office for meetings or training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, negotiations, settlements, and administration of all accident benefit claims.
- Handle both MIG and non-MIG files, up to the point of Catastrophic Impairment.
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and discoveries as valuable learning experiences.
Requirements:
- Possess post-secondary education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling AB claims is required.
- Showcase strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of SABS (Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule).
- Excel in communication with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Exhibit strong general computer knowledge.
- Possession of CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation or working towards it is considered an asset.
