Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Capital Planner to join our team at the Manitoba Government. This is a challenging role that requires expertise in capital project planning and delivery. About the Role
The successful candidate will provide support for the development, monitoring, and management of capital plans for selected client departments within a capital portfolio. They will be responsible for assessing, prioritizing, and recommending capital projects, as well as providing technical expertise to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize capital projects based on their feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with established policy
- Provide technical expertise to stakeholders, including senior officials and project team members
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress and performance metrics
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and implement creative solutions
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as project management, engineering, architecture, or business administration
- Extensive experience in capital planning and/or project management, including design and construction, contract management, and managing interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience using Project Management software
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
