Job Title: General Manager

Canlan Sports is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our sports complex. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful operation of our facility, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of reporting managers to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall sports complex experience.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish and achieve annual operating plans, execute programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to direct reports to enhance their skills and performance.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in sports facility management, including strong program marketing and facility maintenance experience.
  • Experience with ice making and maintenance is an asset.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to view the business broadly and understand resource restraints.
  • Experience with budget and business plan development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
